Don Bailey has been licensed as an attorney in Texas since 1991. He was an Attorney for the U.S. District Court for nine years and has been a criminal defense attorney since 2000. He has board certifications in both criminal law and criminal appeals by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Mr. Bailey’s law practice has focused on federal criminal defense in various federal district courts in Texas, resulting in numerous not guilty verdicts and dismissals in lieu of trial. Mr. Bailey has represented more than 500 persons in various District Courts, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Bailey’s current practice focuses on international extradition cases of individuals facing extradition to the United States from various countries in Europe, Asia and South America. Mr. Bailey has an office in Medellin, Colombia focusing on defense of individuals charged in the United States and facing extradition from Colombia, Guatemala, Ecuador as well as other Latin American countries.
Mr. Bailey also has a background as a military intelligence officer, having retired in 2016, after more than thirty years of service. Mr. Bailey has been consulted and testified as an expert in extradition cases for both the United States and Defense and will consult on cases if help is desired.
